Infrastructure & Networking Specialist

Marine Harvest is seeking an Infrastructure and Networking Specialist to support and develop the global data network and associated infrastructure services. This is an exciting and strategic role within the organization which will be demanding but very rewarding.

The position is a central role reporting to the Group Manager Infrastructure & Operations within the Corporate IT Department; you will liaise with all MH business entities and relevant external partners and service providers. You will be responsible for leading both local and global network projects, and for developing the global networking roadmap consistent with IT and business strategies. You will be expected to be innovative and expert at influencing and challenging in a positive way. You should bring a well-developed and mature skillset to forward-looking role with ever-changing demands.


Main responsibilities

  • Acquire and maintain a holistic overview of the Group’s IT network and communications design topology across multiple business units.
  • Develop and sustain all network-related documentation including site design specifications, hardware selection standards, IP addressing schemas, inventory, and policy documents.
  • Liaise with IT teams within local business units and advise them in relation to networking and infrastructure-related projects/initiatives, ensuring that they follow corporate standards and align with Group IT strategy.
  • Maintain the security and efficient performance of the Group’s electronic messaging platform, including responsibility for spam-filter policies and associated settings and configuration.
  • Evaluate network designs to determine whether business requirements are met efficiently and effectively.
  • Manage and maintain the corporate Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), provide advice on its use, and plan accordingly for its development.
  • Oversee the overall security of the corporate network, including responsibility for firewalls, DMZ, and remote access/VPN solutions.

The right candidate should have

  • At least 5- 10 years’ experience with a multi-national company in a senior and comparable IT role.
  • Minimum of Cisco CCNP qualification, although CCIE is highly desirable.
  • Expertise with Checkpoint firewalls or similar firewall solutions.
  • Advanced understanding of Microsoft infrastructure and network-related server roles and technologies.
  • Demonstrable experience in coordinating and delivering on large-scale technical projects.
  •  Experience with, and a working understanding of the ITIL Framework

The position reports to Group Manager Infrastructure & Operations, Simon Williamson. Office location will be in Prague, Czech Republic, but flexible for the right candidate.
