National Account Manager

A fully-integrated business with manufacturing facilities across Europe, Marine Harvest has recently made considerable investment in the UK with a state of the art manufacturing facility in Rosyth (near Edinburgh). This role presents an excellent opportunity to develop and grow with the business with support from a superb facility with world class products.  Working in Rosyth with close links to our European colleagues, the role is fast-paced, facing into the major UK multiple retailers. 
This is a fantastically exciting time for us, and we’re seeking a genuinely high-calibre individual to join the team and identify new commercial opportunities and drive growth; whilst maintaining and developing our existing positive customer relationships.   
In this role, you’ll be responsible – and accountable – for developing and implementing a strategy for each customer, positioning Marine Harvest as their supplier of choice in each of our categories.  You’ll have the opportunity to take the lead on building business proposals that secure new contracts and long-term customer relationships, and you’ll help us embed a commercial, client-service focused approach to all our processes and activities. 
You’ll also be accountable for proposing, gaining approval on, and delivering the budgeted sales plan (volume, turnover, margin & promotions) for your accounts, as well as ensuring you provide timely and accurate monthly sales forecasts.  It’s therefore vital that your head for figures is second-to-none.

To be considered for this role, you should be able to demonstrate:
  • At least 5 years’ National Accounts experience; 
  • Significant experience with a large manufacturing food business facing into major UK retailers (Fish, Protein or short-life chilled experience would be a significant advantage); 
  • A strong track record of building and delivering a high-performing , cohesive sales strategy; 
  • Strong commercial acumen; 
  • Highly financially literate; 
  • Good IT skills
