Due to the current incumbent moving to another post within the Company, we currently have a vacancy available for a Farm Technician at the Company’s Freshwater site at Loch Garry.
The successful applicant will be required to carry out a wide variety of duties including maintaining best feeding practices, fish health monitoring, daily routines such as removal of mortalities and other key husbandry tasks to aid the running of a freshwater loch site. Within the role there will become opportunities to broaden your experience of fish health & welfare through various operations as well as basic mechanical skills working alongside automated feeding systems, generators and power boats.
The post is offered on a full time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will be required to work a 40-hour week on any five out of seven days and will be required to work at any of the Company’s Freshwater sites during fallow periods. Applications are invited from individuals who have a positive approach to this type of work and who are competent swimmers. Experience is certainly an advantage although training will be provided. Driving licence is essential.
