Installation Electrician
Marine Harvest is one of the largest seafood companies in the world, and the world’s largest producer of Atlantic salmon. The company employs 13,233 people globally, and is represented in 25 countries. In 2017 the company had a turnover of EUR 3.6 billion.
Marine Harvest supplies healthy, delicious and sustainably farmed salmon and processed seafood to more than 70 markets worldwide.  In 2017 harvest volumes of salmon were 370,000 tonnes (GWT).
Our processing activities take place in their own specialized facilities around the world. In 2015, after a full reconstruction of the facility, we started production at our state-of the-art plant in Rosyth, Fife. Here we carry out value-added processing, producing both fresh and smoked salmon for our consumers.
We are currently looking to identify a suitably qualified and experienced Installation Electrician to join our Engineering Team. As a new role to the business, this is an exciting opportunity for someone to come on board and make it their own. The main focus of this role will be to install, maintain, check and certify electrical drops and other power distribution circuits (415V, 240V, 110V single and three phase) throughout the factory.
Reporting to our Facilities and Maintenance Manager, the role will have the occasional requirement to work unsociable hours out with production to avoid impacting on our processing operations. As such, this role is most suited to someone who is a team player who can be flexible to meet deadlines and adapt to change at short notice. Our ideal candidate is someone who is results driven and prides themselves on doing the job right.
Due to the nature of the role, we are particularly looking for the successful candidate to be qualified as BS 7671 Inspection and Testing certified, BS 7671 IET Wiring Regulations 17th or 18th Edition qualified and an ECS card holder at core or approved grade with a minimum of two years’ on the job experience after training. Having completed an apprenticeship, ideally the perfect candidate will have at least 3 years practical experience installing electrical distribution cables.
In return we offer an attractive salary, bonus, pension and training and development opportunities.
