We are currently looking to employ a Skipper at our seawater site on the Isle of Colonsay. The vessel will provide a valuable service, assisting with sea lice treatments, net changing and other general farm duties.
The successful candidate will be required to work closely with the Farm Manager to provide an operational plan and must therefore possess strong interpersonal and organisational skills as well as the ability to problem solve. In addition, the successful applicant will be required to ensure that their vessel is cleaned and maintained to a high standard and that up to date bio-security records are priority.
The post brings with it significant responsibility and the working pattern is a two week on/off rota. Accommodation will be provided on the Island if required during shift.
Applicants must hold a valid certificate of competence and be able to operate a vessel up to 24 metres. A driving licence is essential. No driving licence? We can help you with the cost of lessons.
