PROCESS DEVELOPMENT TECHNOLOGIST

Based at our state of the art processing plant in Rosyth, we are seeking an individual to become part of a successful, market-leading group with a global structure and a close partnerships with a number of the major UK retailers. Our ambitious plans make for an exciting, fast-moving and rapidly developing business.
As a Process Development Technologist, you will be responsible for creating food that is safe and attractive to our customers, primarily taking product from concept handover to launch. You’ll plan the large-scale manufacture of fresh, smoked and added-value products and design processes for our production teams that enable efficient production within the regulatory framework.
As part of our Development Team you will support the Process Development Manager in preparation and coordination of new product launches, ensuring production trials are effectively executed and relevant data is gathered. You will work alongside various other functions in the business to create product costings, draw up specifications and develop solutions to production issues where necessary.
We’re looking for someone with a genuine interest in and enthusiasm for food, the seafood industry and market trends. Our ideal candidate will have some experience in a similar role gained in fresh food manufacturing, preferably with meat, fish or poultry. You should also have experience working with major retailers and should be Food Science/Technology qualified, or similar.
You will have a demonstrable track record of delivering high standards of work to deadlines and a thorough understanding of food processing and the business systems which ensure Food Safety for the consumer. In addition, you will be proactive and a positive contributor with the ability to stay up to date with any changes in customer requirements.
