As Key Account Manager (KAM) you are responsible to grow Sales in terms of volume and margin for the dedicated client portfolio for its entire category in close collaboration with Product Management and Marketing & Category Management. You actively explore opportunities with regard to current customers or possible prospects, has a clear overview of customer positioning in the market. You transfer this knowledge to the Product Managers and Marketing & Category Managers.
What are you tasks & responsibilities?
Responsible to determine the Sales strategy for each customer in line with Marine Harvest Consumer products objectives.  
Yearly update and realization of the sales budget for the assigned accounts 
Yearly defining a key account plan for dedicated accounts  
Development of an operational plan each trimester(/semester) 
Responsible to determine, negotiate and finalize Sales contracts 
Privileged contact in relation to the DMU (decision making unit) of the client 
Organize visits with accounts and prospects: organize NPD workshops, assist to quality audits, participate and visit exhibitions, management of the contacts with the customer 
Manage offers, tenders 
Mandated in day to day and long term operational negotiations for small (and larger) accounts 
Responsible to detect specific customer needs and opportunities:  
Regularly visit the client and positioning of the client in the market in comparison to other clients and the market. 
Search for information about specific needs, strategy and priority of the customer (long term- short term).  
Inform Product Manager and Marketing & Category Department about needs and strategy of the customer.  
Know the customer organization, networking and introduce Marine Harvest contacts with client contacts, e.g. marketing & category department of both side 
Facilitate adjustment of Marine Harvest product portfolio and category management to the specific needs of each client in order to maximize sales growth.  
Implement category management & plan systematical screening 
Actively introduce NPD in line with defined NPD priorities and client demands in collaboration with the Product manager and Marketing and Category Management  
Give feedback on how current product, concept and category management is perceived, what is the growth revenue and possibilities 
Manage price policy in cooperation with Product Manager 
Permanent control of orders, margins,… 
Operational follow up of the customer in collaboration with sales officer:  
manage complaints in close cooperation with Marine Harvest Quality  
Verify solvency of customers and prospects 
Input from customer Sales officer, follow-up payment 
Stock management:  
administrative handling of orders 
register complaints, organize returns, credit notes 
general organization and follow up of the client
