We are currently seeking an experienced IT Manager to join our growing team at Mowi Canada East.   The primary responsibilities of an IT Manager are managing network and desktop support, managing IT infrastructure for finance, inventory and processing systems and ensuring compliance with corporate IT requirements.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensures the IT network infrastructure is operational and troubleshooting technical issues as necessary

  • Participate in regular IT meetings, as well as local management meetings, and provides site updates.

  • Implement and follow IT Policies and Processes defined by corporate IT management
  • Develops and implements IT policy and processes within regional IT structure.
  • Manages financial aspects of the IT department, including budgeting and procurement
  • Promotes user community use of IT Service Desk
  • Manages software implementation and development processes, including program documentation, and adhering to company standards
  • Manages equipment lifecycle and support contracts
  • Manages software licensing, support contracts, and Manages site IT infrastructures within corporate IT standards
  • Manages network backups and security as established by corporate IT standards
  • Manages administration of local phone system and telephony inventory
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Encourage the use of cloud-based technologies (Office 365)

  • AD-Hoc help with reporting from databases


Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Computer Science or Information Technology equivalent degree desired

  • Minimum of 4 years of network and desktop related management experience

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as solid interpersonal skills

  • Analytical problem solving and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently

  • Basic ITIL concepts and Project Management principles

  • Ideal location for this position would be within the St. George, NB area however Central or South Coast of Newfoundland could be an option provided candidate has flexibility to travel to our operational sites in New Brunswick, PEI and Newfoundland

  • Experience with Infor M3 and/or Innova Production Control considered strong assets
